Goofing around with a Sony TG3

Clips from my first couple of weeks goofing around with the Sony TG3. I love this camera. Excellent picture, very portable, excellent 5.1 surround, good stabilization at high zoom, tough shell and the macro is awesome. The interlaced capture can be a bit dodge sometimes and AVCHD is very memory intensive on a machine (I upgraded my system). The autofocus indoors is sometimes a little dodgy too, low light performance is not amazing but acceptable. Overall it's an awesome little camera and it's sometimes hard to tell the difference between footage from it and the canon XH A1. For the portability, i'm willing to sacrifice not always focusing in a split second indoors in low light. Would highly recommend this cam but note if you don't have a decent system, editing is gonna wreck your head.

Fences

Description: Initial first draft of footage shot at my Dad's farm (first day with the XHA1). My Dad was a farmer for his lifetime. About ten years ago he became ill, as a result most of the land was sold and the remainder was let. My parents then separated and for the past seven years my Dad has been in and out of hospital while also being caught up in a court case. The case ended with the sale of what was left of the land. This clip is about the passing of happier times when the farm was overflowing with life. I wanted to show what was left as overgrown, unworked and split up by unwanted fences. It's about growing old and making a fresh start.
